The ELF announced Madrid as its second Spanish franchise on 19 May 2023 and the Madrid Bravos name was presented on 26 September that year. The team played at Estadio Vallehermoso. [1] [2]
In 2024 and 2025 they went 8-4 and reached the playoffs, losing in the wild-card round to Rhein Fire and Stuttgart Surge. [2] [3] [5] In November 2025 the Miami Dolphins became their NFL partner in Spain. [4]
On 10 March 2026 the club announced it would not compete in 2026 because the project had become unviable in the context of European football, amid the ELF crisis. [5] [6]
