Weekend recap: Spain win 59-0, five of the top seven fall and the Texans win at Wembley
Spain open their European Championship with the biggest win in their history, college football has its wildest Saturday in 90 years and the Falcons of the Madrid game lose at home.

Here are the games we picked in last weekend's agenda. Every score is confirmed in two sources. We start with the one closest to home.
Spain open the European Championship with a 59-0
The men's national team opened on Sunday in Coventry with a 59-0 win over Great Britain's U25 development team, in their first game of the Level 2 European Championship. It was settled by half-time: 35-0. [8] [9]
Iván "Terry" López and Pol Singleton alternated at the controls of the offence and threw eight touchdown passes between them, six from López. Adrián Bermúdez scored three and was named MVP; Gonzalo Haro, Jorge Melero, Juan Baró, Eloi Soler and Roque Alarcón also reached the end zone, and Alarcón converted all eight extra points he attempted. Ricardo Martín's defence forced three turnovers and barely let their opponents past midfield. [8] [9]
The wildest Saturday in 90 years of the poll
Five of the AP Top 25's top seven lost on the same day, something that had never happened in the poll's existence. Georgia fell 27-24 to Auburn, Notre Dame 28-24 at BYU, Texas 27-24 to Florida, Alabama 26-10 at Tennessee, and Indiana's 22-game winning streak ended in a 19-15 loss to Ohio State. Miami survived the derby against Florida State 43-35 in double overtime. [1] [2]
By Monday the poll was upside down: Miami are No. 1 for the first time since 2002 with 40 of the 70 first-place votes, BYU climb from 8 to 2 and Ohio State are third. Texas slid twelve places to 19. [11] [12]
The other three agenda games went their own way. LSU shut out No. 16 Mississippi State in Baton Rouge: 31-0, with four touchdown passes and 289 yards from Sam Leavitt. [6] [1] [2] And in Ann Arbor, Michigan beat Penn State 21-18 on a twelve-yard rushing touchdown from Tommy Carr — on for a benched Bryce Underwood — with 2:58 left. [7] [1] [2]
Navy come up four points short at the Alamodome
Navy lost 38-34 at UTSA and drop to 2-4. Owen McCown threw for 359 yards and three touchdowns for the hosts, the decisive one a 41-yard pass to A'Marion Peterson with 2:24 left. [5] [1] [2]
NFL: the Texans win at Wembley and the Falcons lose at home
In the season's second London game, this time at Wembley and free-to-air in Spain, the Texans beat the Jaguars 34-31. [3] [4]
A bad weekend for one of the two Madrid teams: the Falcons lost 31-23 at home to the Bears and sit at 2-4 three weeks before playing at the Bernabéu. The Bengals were on a bye. [3] [4]
- Broncos 17 — Seahawks 14, in overtime.

- Bills 33 — Raiders 30.
